At United Way Space Coast , we don't just raise funds, we mobilize entire communities to create real, lasting change in the areas of education, health, and financial stability. We're looking for a strategic and mission-driven leader to serve as our Director of Resource Development, a high-impact role at the core of our organization.
This isn't a back-office position. This is your chance to own and lead a vital department, shaping fundraising strategy, cultivating powerful partnerships, and fueling our mission. You'll report directly to the President, serve on the leadership team, and guide a driven team while growing corporate engagement, sponsorships, and major gifts across the county.   What you'll do   Your department is the fuel that powers our mission. As Director, you'll own the strategy, lead the team, and drive community investment into our initiatives. If you're a builder, connector, and bold communicator, this is your stage to elevate both our brand, and your own Every day is going to look a little different, but you can expect the following:
  • Own the strategy and execution of our annual campaign and all corporate engagement efforts
  • Lead a team of 2-3 relationship managers providing coaching, accountability, and problem-solving support
  • Manage top donor accounts
  • Be the face of United Way at events, meetings, and throughout the community
  • Leverage CRM and donor insights to drive decisions and demonstrate impact
  • Launch new partnerships, deepen donor experiences, and contribute to long-term financial sustainability
  • Work alongside the leadership team and provide departmental updates often to our board of directors
 What you need to thrive in this role
  • 5+ years of United Way experience a must; fundraising, corporate partnerships, and major gifts (2+ years managing teams or strategies)
  • Proven record of hitting and exceeding fundraising goals
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with business and community leaders
  • Strategic mindset with comfort in public speaking and CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel locally often and work occasional evenings/weekends to attend events
