Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering exceptional customer service, and efficiently managing bar operations. This role requires a strong knowledge of beverage preparation, POS systems, and food safety standards, particularly within fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings. The Bartender will be responsible for serving drinks, handling cash transactions, and ensuring guests have a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard recipes and customer preferences
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, and utensils throughout the shift
• Engage with customers to promote sales of beverages and enhance their overall experience
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
• Restock bar supplies as needed and assist in inventory management
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to ensure seamless service delivery
• Uphold responsible alcohol service practices and monitor guest behavior to promote safety

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally in a variety of settings including fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in serving in the food industry, hospitality, or retail math for accurate cash handling and math calculations
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the venue's operational hours
• Previous experience in beverage service, brewing, or catering is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cashiering and retail math calculations
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and guest interaction
