Childcare Educator

Duties

• Work with lead teachers to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children 0-10 years
• Provide attentive supervision to ensure children's safety at all times during play, learning, meals, and rest periods
• Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, behavior management strategies, and maintaining an engaging learning environment
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns
• Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging curiosity, independence, and social skills through nurturing interactions
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar roles
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices is a plus
• Certification in mandatory reporting, first aid and CPR is required within the first 90 days; we will provide necessary training if needed
• Ability to engage children through creative activities while maintaining patience and compassion
• Experience with caregiving tasks including diapering, feeding, and supporting emotional needs of young children

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
