Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and five years of construction management experience
  • Experience driving a vehicle with a manual transmission preferred
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds periodically as needed
  • Experience using general carpentry, landscaping and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to use computer systems include Google Workspace

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform general facilities maintenance (DreamTree buildings, other facilities as needed) including: carpentry, plumbing, electrical; internal and external painting and drywall patchwork; maintain locksets throughout campus; major cleaning (e.g. steaming carpets, fogging machine use, etc.), rubbish disposal, donation transport, etc.
  • Oversee maintenance DreamTree campus and grounds, including waste removal, driveway maintenance, landscaping, perimeter fencing
  • Coordinate repair and renovation projects and communicate internally with staff and externally with contractors as necessary; provide project status updates to DTP team when a project impacts DTP day-to-day operations and/or programs
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and capital repairs needs list
  • Supervise Facilities Technicians, contractors, and volunteers as appropriate. For employees, hold regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, coaching/corrective actions, and review and approve timesheets.
  • Complete submitted work order requests for maintenance repair in a timely manner as need and capacity allows; communicate with Director of Operations regularly to provide status updates on work orders, prioritize task completion and coordinate additional support needs
  • Purchase day-to-day maintenance supplies as needed
  • Communicate facility maintenance needs promptly and notify management when specialist/outside support is needed; provide input on issue and propose potential solutions/remedies
  • Serve as the Fleet Manager for DTP vehicles, including overseeing preventative maintenance and regular repairs when needed.
  • With the assistance of the Director of Operations, supervise & coordinate move-in support for housing participants, provide direction to Facilities Technicians
  • Participate in Facilities short and long-range planning as requested
  • Hold safety meetings as appropriate for workers prior to and during activities/tasks and using tools and/or equipment; maintain a safety meeting notebook documenting attendanceSupport procurement process including obtaining bids / estimates from potential contractors
  • Attend all required training and meetings, including weekly staff training, one-on-one with supervisor, and reflective supervision
  • Maintain clean driving record based on DreamTree Project insurance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in on call rotation

Additional Compensation:

  • $100 = 30 Days after start date
  • $100 = 60 Days after start date
