Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Conduct detailed floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to keep surfaces looking pristine.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
• Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial or commercial cleaning projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing or structural issues to the appropriate teams.
• Manage janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning materials.
• Provide porter services when necessary, including moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety procedures related to facilities maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending or reaching frequently.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and completing routine maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in residential painting or facilities upkeep is a plus but not required.
