Line Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared and presented according to our restaurant's standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We also offer our kitchen staff weekly tips that can be from $1-$3/hour on top of your base pay.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Participate in catering events, preparing meals for off-site functions when required.
• Provide support to dietary aides in meal preparation for special dietary needs.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
• Experience in fine dining or high-volume food service environments is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Creativity in menu planning and meal preparation, with a passion for the food industry.
• Experience in catering services is a plus, enhancing your versatility within the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
