Position Overview:

As a Kitchen Worker at Neoteca, you will be a key part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation of pizza, pasta, salads, and appetizers. You will ensure that all dishes are prepared efficiently, following our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation:
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for pizzas, pastas, salads, and appetizers.
  • Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the head chef.
  • Assist in the making of pizza dough, pasta, and other fresh items.
  • Follow recipes and portion control standards to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Cooking:
  • Cook pizzas to perfection in the pizza oven, ensuring each pizza is cooked to the right temperature and texture.
  • Prepare pasta dishes, salads, and appetizers according to menu specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation:
  • Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools as needed.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and countertops.
  • Follow food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure orders are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory when needed.
  • Stocking & Organization:
  • Help with the stocking of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients, following FIFO (first in, first out) principles.
  • Assist with inventory checks as directed by the kitchen manager.

Expectations:

  • Quality and Consistency: Maintain the high standards of food quality and presentation set by Neoteca.
  • Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially during peak hours, without compromising quality.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the kitchen and work areas clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to take on additional tasks as needed and adjust to changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
