About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and maintain a clean, efficient, and compliant back-of-house environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong culinary knowledge and people-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including prep, production, and service
- Manage and train kitchen staff; schedule shifts and coaching
- Ensure consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance
- Control food and labor costs; manage inventory and ordering
- Collaborate with ownership/management on menus and operational improvements
- Enforce kitchen policies, procedures, and standards
- Oversee execution all catering orders
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Supervisor. Catering experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
- NYC Food Protection Certificate or ServSafe Certificate
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
