Preschool Teacher

First Presbyterian Church of Edmond's Early Childhood Program is looking for a warm, loving, enthusiastic teacher to work with our preschool three-year-old class.

Qualifications

Applicants for teaching positions must have either a relevant degree or direct relevant experience, must have a demonstrated love of children, and must be reliable. Applicants must have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices with children and should be able to implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for the children in their care.

Summary

As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Reporting to the Director, you will utilize your core skills in classroom management and early childhood education to create engaging lesson plans and activities. Your premium skills in curriculum development and behavior management will enhance the learning experience, while your relevant skills in childcare and literacy education will support each child's growth. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of preschoolers.
• Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
• Foster communication with parents regarding child progress and classroom activities.
• Support children's social and emotional development through guided play and interaction.
• Monitor and assess individual student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in early childhood education.
