Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Director of Operations & Growth

On site.| Full-Time | Executive-Level | Salary + Performance Bonuses

We are Dubuque's fastest-growing home improvement and discount warehouse, offering appliances, furniture, flooring, and home goods at unbeatable prices — all while funding our nonprofit, Restoration Works, which helps families, veterans, and youth in need.

We're gearing up for major expansion in 2026, including multiple new store locations and a central distribution center.

Before that happens, we need a proven hands-on operator — a right-hand leader who can run the business day-to-day, build scalable systems, and grow our brand.

About the Role:

The COO / Director of Operations & Growth will oversee every function of the business — from front-end sales and marketing to back-end logistics, purchasing, and staff leadership.

You'll partner directly with the Owner to:

Take ownership of daily operations and team performance running marketing, promotions, and community engagement, buying, inventory flow, and vendor relationships, implement scalable systems for future locations.

Drive profitability, accountability, and brand consistency.

Core Responsibilities:

Operations & Leadership oversee all store departments: sales, warehouse, marketing, and logistics.

Manage hiring, training, and staff accountability.

Build and document SOPs across departments, drive daily and monthly KPIs and reporting.

Sales & Marketing: lead the sales team and ensure customer excellence

Oversee all advertising: social media, billboards, digital ads, and events.

Manage Facebook Marketplace listings, campaigns, and promotions.

Strengthen community engagement and customer loyalty

Buying & Inventory Sourcing

Purchase and negotiate with vendors

Manage product flow from truck to showroom

Analyze margins, pricing, and profitability.

Build systems for future centralized distribution.

Ideal Candidate
:

2+ years in retail operations (leadership)(furniture, appliances, or home improvement preferred)

Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and operational systems

Proven ability to build teams, increase sales, and streamline operations.
