Lead Technician –

About the Role:

Rhino Restoration is one of the fastest-growing restoration companies in Tampa Bay, and we are looking for someone who is hungry to work, motivated to grow, and ready to build a long-term career with a fast-scaling company.

This is not a Crew Chief role, but it is for someone who wants to work alongside a Crew Chief, learn the systems, take on responsibility, and grow into a Crew Chief or even a Project Manager role as the company expands.

What You Will Do

Field Work

• Assist with water, mold, and fire damage mitigation
• Help set up drying equipment, containment, HEPA scrubbers, and demo areas
• Perform controlled demolition when needed
• Take before and after photos, moisture readings, and assist with job documentation
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Help clean, load, and maintain equipment each day
• Supporting the Crew Chief
• Follow instructions and job scopes accurately
• Help keep the team productive and on-task
• Communicate clearly with customers and represent Rhino professionally
• Uphold safety and PPE standards
• Learn leadership and job management skills to grow into a Crew Chief role
• Software & Documentation
• Encircle for documentation, photos, and moisture logs
• HouseCall Pro for notes and timekeeping
• Slack for team communication and updates
• Equipment and Vehicle Responsibilities
• Clean and disinfect all equipment daily
• Help keep work vans stocked, organized, and ready for emergency calls
• Assist with weekly inventory and equipment checks

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Strong work ethic and a desire to grow
• Comfortable with physical labor
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable wearing PPE and working in challenging environments such as attics, crawlspaces, and mold-affected areas

Bonus (Not Required):

• Experience in water, mold, or fire restoration
• Construction or demolition experience
• Any IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT)
• Ambition to become a Crew Chief or Project Manager
