Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting patient care through accurate medication preparation and dispensing. The ideal candidate will have experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or hospital settings, with a strong focus on patient service and medication management. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and medication administration to ensure safe and effective pharmacy operations.

Duties

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques
  • Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management and ordering
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and offering medication guidance
  • Support intake processes for new patients and medication orders
  • Ensure compliance with hospital or LTC pharmacy protocols and safety standards
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of medication dispensing and patient interactions
  • Participate in medication reconciliation and review patient charts for accuracy
  • Adhere to infection control procedures and safety protocols during all pharmacy activities

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care settings
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques
  • Critical care experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety
  • Experience with IV infusion preparation and sterile compounding
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail
  • Familiarity with intake procedures and medication reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
