We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that products are managed accurately and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Receive, identify, and record the receipt of incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment, accurately following order specifications.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse policies.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) software for tracking inventory movements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting as required by the role.
- Contribute to overall team success and foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical activity.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
