We are seeking a reliable and diligent Material Handler to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the physical movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. Your tasks will include loading and unloading shipments, stocking inventory, and ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our distribution center runs smoothly and inventory is accurately managed. You will work closely with other team members, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas using manual equipment.
- Sort, count, and verify incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Stock shelves and racks with incoming merchandise.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including correct lifting practices.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
