We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods within our logistics facility. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing items for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the smooth flow of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Unpack, sort, and organize inventory, ensuring accurate placement within designated warehouse areas.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to move goods efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to specifications.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervision.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. A commitment to safety and proficiency in basic math skills are essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, can work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills.
