Our growing logistics company is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist in Miami, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our vast inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to ensure optimal stock levels. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory assessments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers with precision.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure effective inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Train new team members on inventory control best practices.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in inventory control, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency with WMS software is required. This role may involve occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to safety standards and use PPE correctly. Understanding of complex logistics operations and supply chain management is highly valued.
