We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and speed are paramount. Your primary duties will include picking items from warehouse shelves using a pick list or scanner, carefully packing items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring items are protected during transit, and labeling packages correctly for shipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols, and contributing to overall team efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent organizational skills. Prior experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment setting is a plus, but not required as we provide comprehensive training. We prioritize a safe working environment, and you will be required to use appropriate PPE, including safety vests and gloves when necessary. Expect to perform tasks involving frequent bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. This role requires moderate to heavy lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently. Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping boxes or containers.
- Ensure all packages are labeled correctly with shipping information.
- Conduct quality checks to verify order accuracy and product integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
