Production Paper Handler

The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga facility is looking for Paper Handlers (Joggers) to work with the Bindery team. This position is responsible for the Paper Jogger operation and keeping the area orderly. This is a steady night shift position.

How you will impact WestRock:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety policies.
• Obtain and understand production docket according to bindery schedule.
• Locate printed products and place load into jogging lifter.
• Set up scale to the proper lift count.
• Jog sheets into lifts according to Docket while performing quality checks.
• Pull finished loads from jogging station.
• Comply to all SOP's and Quality Procedures.
• General maintenance and housekeeping of the department.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or production industry
• Experience working with Radius and Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Friday: OFF
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Shift premiums apply to afternoon and night shifts.
