Job Summary:
We are hiring a professional Shipping & Receiving Associate for our state-of-the-art distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all inbound and outbound shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying incoming goods, inspecting shipments for damage, documenting inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. A strong focus on safety and organization is critical. The position requires the ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs and to operate material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately document inventory received and shipped using warehouse management systems.
  • Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for timely delivery.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE use.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and management.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning devices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and the use of PPE.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Forklift operation experience is a significant plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
