Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment.
- Sort and place materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick materials for outgoing orders as directed, verifying quantities and types.
- Stage materials for loading onto trucks, ensuring they are securely positioned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials, often up to 50-75 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Basic understanding of inventory and logistics procedures.
