We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics hub in Tampa, Florida. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; you will receive ongoing training and be provided with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures. This position requires physical capability, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
