We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage our outgoing shipments at our facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is key to ensuring that our products reach our customers accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and ensuring that all packages are correctly labeled and securely prepared for transit. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. You will work closely with warehouse staff and sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. We are committed to a safe working environment and require adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all outgoing shipping documentation.
- Verify order details against shipment contents for accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and freight arrangements.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled, weighed, and dimensioned according to carrier requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments and related documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customer service teams regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics flow.
- Operate shipping software and any required equipment.
- Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
