Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Perro Negro is a Spanish tapas and wine bar in downtown Victoria looking for a Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team.

This role is ideal for someone who's reliable, works cleanly, and wants to be involved in the kitchen beyond the dish pit. You'll help keep service running smoothly and assist with prep when time allows.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the dish area and workspaces clean and organized
• Handle garbage, recycling, and compost
• Assist with basic prep (vegetables, sauces, batch cooking)
• Support opening, closing, and service as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, in a high volume setting.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen
• Willing to learn and take direction
• Cooking experience is an asset, but not required
