We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our daily operations and requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all orders are picked correctly and prepared for shipment in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to pick lists or scanners.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Understand and follow all warehouse safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment. Strong attention to detail is essential for this role. Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs. Understanding of basic warehouse operations and inventory management principles is a plus. Reliable transportation and a commitment to punctuality are required. Experience with RF scanners is beneficial.
