Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in custodial services and facilities maintenance while contributing to the overall hygiene standards of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or institutional settings
• Operate hand tools and power tools for detailed cleaning or minor maintenance tasks
• Use custodial equipment such as vacuums to ensure thorough cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas according to established standards
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning schedules within designated timeframes
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Experience with commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance preferred
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or equipment
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and responding to client requests
• Previous custodial experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided as needed
• Customer service orientation with a professional attitude
