We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is central to our logistics operations, focusing on accurately retrieving items for customer orders. You will work closely with inventory systems and warehouse staff to ensure timely and correct order fulfillment. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, requiring adherence to all safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and Lifting, and requires the ability to work with speed and precision. Experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets or RF scanner prompts.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking path and work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other hand trucks for material movement.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks when required.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management immediately.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Physical capacity for frequent bending, reaching, and Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to comply with all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Basic reading and math skills.
