Are you meticulous and organized? Our logistics facility in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking for a skilled Inventory Clerk to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular stock counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date and reliable. Your precision and commitment to process are vital for smooth warehouse operations and efficient logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories of warehouse stock.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Accurately update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) based on counts and adjustments.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or potential stock-outs.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure inventory accuracy across all departments.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role within a logistics environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical movement and Lifting of items up to 30 lbs for stock checks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
