Join our dynamic logistics team as a Reach Truck Operator in Sacramento, California! We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate our reach trucks efficiently and effectively within our bustling warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations, ensuring timely movement of goods, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics network. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering products in high-reach racking systems, picking and placing inventory, and performing routine checks on equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks to transport, pick, and place materials in racking systems up to specified heights.
- Safely load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and packing when not operating the reach truck.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting and physical exertion.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
