We are seeking an energetic Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse in Houston, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be at the heart of our fulfillment process, responsible for accurately selecting and preparing items for customer orders. Your ability to work efficiently and with precision is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our operational flow. You will use handheld scanners and follow pick lists to retrieve products from various locations within the warehouse. This role requires physical stamina, as you'll be on your feet throughout your shift and performing tasks that involve bending, reaching, and lifting. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety procedures and use the appropriate PPE at all times. This is a vital position within our logistics network, directly impacting our ability to deliver on time and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and pick lists to locate and retrieve products efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items before moving them to the staging area.
- Inspect items for any damage or defects.
- Transport picked items using carts or other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to facilitate efficient picking.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper wearing of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and fulfillment targets.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervision promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach continuously throughout the shift.
- Capability of Lifting up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Experience with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
