Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating stock discrepancies, performing data entry into our inventory management system, and assisting with the development and implementation of inventory control procedures. Collaboration with other departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, will be essential to achieve optimal inventory accuracy. Compliance with all warehouse policies and procedures, including **PPE** requirements and **Safety** protocols, is mandatory. This position may involve **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs and requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. A solid understanding of **Logistics** principles is beneficial. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to operational efficiency and cost control by ensuring the integrity of our inventory.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to all **Safety** regulations and **PPE** guidelines.
  • Assist with training new team members on inventory procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
  • Manage the returns process and ensure accurate restocking or disposition.
