Our Raleigh, North Carolina facility is seeking diligent Receiving Clerks! This position is crucial for managing the flow of goods into our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics chain. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying shipments against orders, inspecting for damage, and preparing items for storage or further processing. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Accurately compare received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Identify and document any damages, shortages, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received materials in designated areas for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Coordinate with inventory and shipping departments to ensure smooth logistics.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required) in a safe manner.
- Perform other warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with WMS or inventory tracking software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
