Join our dynamic team as a Receiving Clerk in Provo, Utah! This role is crucial for the initial stage of our logistics process, ensuring all incoming goods are received accurately, inspected, and properly documented. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies, and staging items for put-away. We maintain a strong focus on safety, and all team members are required to follow safety protocols diligently and wear appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your accuracy and efficiency are key to maintaining our inventory integrity and ensuring a smooth supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for transport to appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verification and documentation.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
