Join our vibrant warehouse team in Portland, Oregon as an Order Picker! We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently pick products for customer orders. This is a fast-paced role where your ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy is essential. You'll be navigating our warehouse aisles, using picking technology (like RF scanners), and ensuring that the right items are selected for every order. Your contribution is key to our logistics process, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and precise order fulfillment. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to adhere to safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists and pick tickets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to locate and select products.
- Ensure correct quantity and item number for each order.
- Stage picked items for packing and verify order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as stocking and inventory counts as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and picking technologies.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
