We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary role will be to ensure the efficient and safe flow of goods within our warehouse. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical part in our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of materials. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, verifying product information.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure operability and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and environmental protection.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and ensure smooth logistics.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times is mandatory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong commitment to Safety standards and practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
