Operate a forklift safely and efficiently as a Forklift Operator in our Kansas City, Missouri warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the movement and organization of goods throughout the facility. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. A valid forklift certification and proven experience are required. We maintain a strong commitment to safety; all operators must adhere to strict operating procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with order picking and staging as needed.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Perform lifting and securing of loads.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse activities.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence in our logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting and secure loads safely.
- Commitment to following all safety rules and wearing required PPE.
- Strong understanding of forklift operating procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
