We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory levels, investigating stock adjustments, and identifying root causes of inventory variances. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory management.
- Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and variances.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
- Participate in training sessions related to inventory management systems and techniques.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of warehouse operations and **logistics**. Experience with physical inventory counts and **Lifting** up to 50 lbs is required.
