Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Grand Rapids, Michigan team. This pivotal role involves overseeing and optimizing our inventory management processes to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control strategies, analyzing data, and driving improvements in stock accuracy, reducing waste, and enhancing overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, including cycle counts and physical inventories, to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve complex inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee the receiving, stocking, and shipping processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory discrepancies and develop strategies to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
  • Implement and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for optimal inventory tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Train and mentor other warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety and efficiency in all operations.
