Join our thriving logistics operation in Los Angeles, California, as a Material Handler. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of materials within our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will involve operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods efficiently and safely. We pride ourselves on a streamlined supply chain, and your contribution as a Material Handler is key to our operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues immediately.
- Ensure the accurate and timely staging of orders for shipment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment, following all company Safety protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE to ensure personal and team safety.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is a plus.
