Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Detroit, Michigan facility. This leadership role is critical to the efficiency and effectiveness of our entire logistics network. You will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in warehouse management. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management through regular audits and system updates.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external logistics partners.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on management to ensure optimal logistics performance. A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE is mandatory for all staff.
