Join our San Diego, California logistics team as a certified Forklift Operator! We are searching for skilled individuals to safely and efficiently move materials throughout our warehouse. This role is critical to our operations, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of forklift safety protocols. If you possess a valid forklift certification and experience in a warehouse environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Safely transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and maintaining a safe work zone.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock placement and retrieval.
- Load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring product integrity.
- Follow warehouse layouts and understand product placement strategies.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members regarding material movement.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, such as assisting with order picking or packing.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
