Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Server to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork within the dietary department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
- Support the dietary department by delivering meals to residents, ensuring timely service, and addressing any special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory, including receiving and storing food supplies properly.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents and responding to their needs during meal times.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, culinary skills, and dietary regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a similar role within an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards residents and staff alike.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding cleanliness and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Maintaining a current Washington State Food Handler card.
