The Managed Services Engineer plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery and continual improvement of managed services across client environments. This technical role is responsible for supporting complex voice, data, and smart technology infrastructure — ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and contributing to project implementations.
In addition to supporting traditional network and voice systems, the engineer will engage in emerging smart technologies, including business surveillance systems, Smart Town, and Smart MDU initiatives. The role includes developing surveillance system designs and layouts, creating WiFi heatmaps, conducting site walks, and preparing accurate project documentation. The engineer will also contribute to client quoting processes, coordinate with outside plant engineers, general contractors, and property managers, and ensure projects align with client and organizational goals.
Requirement:
Monitor and support client network, voice, and smart technology systems (including surveillance, Smart Town, and Smart MDU deployments) to ensure alignment with performance, reliability, and security standards.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot VoIP/UCaaS environments, business surveillance platforms, managed Wi-Fi deployments, and perform WiFi heatmap analysis to validate coverage and optimize performance.
Conduct root cause analysis on escalated incidents and implement preventive measures and long-term resolutions across traditional and smart service deployments.
Deploy, configure, and maintain monitoring and surveillance systems (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Wireshark, VMS platforms) to proactively identify anomalies; maintain accurate documentation, surveillance designs/layouts, and system diagrams.
Analyze network traffic and performance across LAN/WAN infrastructures (routers, switches, VLANs, wireless) and smart solutions; provide recommendations for optimization and expansion.
Collaborate with outside plant engineers, general contractors, and property managers to support infrastructure design, installation, and integration of Smart Town and Smart MDU services; perform site walks to ensure accuracy and readiness of deployments.
Support quoting functionality by scoping projects, creating proposals, and assisting sales teams with technical validation.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed by management, including supporting special projects and process improvement initiatives.

- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, general contractors, and property managers.
