The Payroll Specialist will ensure employees get paid, and employers make the appropriate deductions when processing payroll. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paychecks according to schedule and in the correct amount. Their duties will include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, calculating paycheck amounts, and distributing funds to employee accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes companies' weekly payroll for hourly and salaried colleagues accurately, compliantly, and timely.
- Calculates wages, deductions and withholdings, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Troubleshoots timekeeping system issues, responds to payroll inquiries, and helps resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.
- Enforce company standards related to work ethics, safety, quality, and other company policies within the work group.
- Work with an experienced team to share solutions, express concerns, monitor resources, and achieve goals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is required.
- Software experience with Foundations preferred
- Ability to identify and resolve complex payroll and compliance issues.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Commute to office in Farmers Branch, TX
