Duties

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all materials are ready for service
• Communicate wait times accurately and provide updates to guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
• Handle guest concerns or complaints with tact and positive problem-solving skills
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host or Host in food service or restaurant settings preferred
• Strong customer service background with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage guests effectively
• Experience in hotel or guest services environments is a plus
• Knowledge of food service operations, serving etiquette, and hospitality standards
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
