What You'll Do
We're looking for an Equity Portfolio Management Associate to join the Principal Equities team. In this role, you'll provide trading, reporting, and ad-hoc support to the Portfolio Management team
- Portfolio Management Support: Provide analytical support to Portfolio Managers by monitoring cash, entering trades and assisting with compliance monitoring.
- Operations Oversight: Act as operational liaison with Principal Asset Management operations & compliance teams to address issues and ensure operational consistency with firm practices.
- Marketing Support & Data Analysis: Provide accurate information to our client for marketing needs.
- Performance: Act as subject matter expert for data analysis and reporting, including risk/return metrics and performance attribution.
- Provide input on projects to improve reporting systems and processes through automation and optimizing operational support.

Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree required by December 2025 in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, statistics or mathematics
- Previous internship/experience in investments, equities preferred
- Advanced use of Excel
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- At least two years of work experience in investments
- Experience with derivatives with an options focus
- Experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, Charles River
- Progress towards CFA Charter
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, adapt to changes in tasks when necessary, and multi-task throughout each day
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to tactfully, assertively, and professionally handle difficult situations with clients and brokers
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
