Purpose: The Associate Scientist, Sample Donor Program is responsible for biospecimen collection and overseeing daily operations of the collection laboratory.

You will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sample Donation Program, including biospecimen collection and laboratory management
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining uninterrupted program operations
  • Developing and maintaining biospeciman management plans, handling requirements, program documentation and participant training
  • Providing operational oversight for biospecimen chain-of-custody and adherence to tracking compliance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain current collection and management plans
  • Collaborate and provide expertise to requesting scientists on collection requirements/timing during the study planning phase
  • Supporting QA and SOP compliance and partnering with training teams to keep SOPs updated
  • Anticipating and resolving operational issues to meet deliverables
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Bioscience Technology, Medical Technology, or related field with 1 or more years of experience required.
  • Previous experience in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and specimen collection is required.
  • Previous experience in clinical trial management/operations is preferred.
  • Anticipating and resolving operational issues to meet deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and compliance protocols
  • Proficiency in electronic data systems and quality control programs
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment
