Truck Driver/Warehouse

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating our company trucks. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, excellent route management skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Duties

• Drive truck between our 3 stores and warehouse.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Drive on designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safety for all road users.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly to maintenance teams.
• Manage route planning to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
• Assist with the loading and unloading process at various locations, ensuring cargo is handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on truck driving across diverse freight types.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong understanding of load securing techniques and cargo handling procedures.
• Experience with route driving planning to ensure timely deliveries.
• Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading when necessary.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and industry best practices for freight transportation.
• Physical stamina for handling heavy loads and performing vehicle inspections.
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with Manager and clients.
