Banquet Chef Job Summary
Our Club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. We
host a large of member, non-member and professional golf tournament events, in addition to multiple
outlets for member dining. We prefer applicants who have professional experience as well as an
educational background in culinary arts. Your primary tasks in this role are to oversee the main kitchen
staff, training them to prepare menu items while upholding portioning, plating and sanitation standards.
You will also assist with menu development for each event, ensuring our kitchen is sufficiently staffed
and stocked. You must enforce a high standard of quality at all times during food preparation as well as
equipment sanitization.
Banquet Chef Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with menu and event concept development
Train and oversee main kitchen staff on how to prepare menu items
Uphold plating and portioning standards
Order ingredients and maintain kitchen inventory
Enforce proper SSOP (sanitation standard operating procedures)
Banquet Chef Requirements and Qualifications
Background in catering and banquets a must. Degree in culinary arts strongly preferred, but not
required
Sous chef, or higher, experience (minimum of 3-5 years of sous chef or higher required)
Food handler card or certificate
Communication skills (English and Spanish a plus) and computer literacy
