Dump Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks. This role involves transporting freight, materials, and loads efficiently and safely across designated routes. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and be committed to maintaining safety standards on the road.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers
• Load and unload freight, materials, or equipment at various job sites or distribution centers
• Safely navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and route information
• Assist with load securing to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or route changes
• Follow all safety procedures related to truck operation, including the use of forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and other relevant vehicle types
• Experience in truck driving, including route driving, freight delivery, and load & unload operations
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred
• Knowledge of different truck types such as flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer, and roll-off trucks is a plus
• Prior experience with forklift operation is advantageous
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and cargo handling
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
• Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.96 per hour
