Physical Security Specialist
HSAGP Energy, LLC. is an innovative joint-venture electric vehicle battery manufacturing company, in Kingston, GA. We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Specialist to immediately join our growing team. This position is a full-time, on-site role, reporting to the Security Manager and the management.
The Physical Security Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the physical and administrative security aspects of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
This position will support the development and enforcement of physical security policies, conduct regular security assessments, respond to security incidents to ensure in maintaining a secure environment, safeguarding facilities, assets, and personnel.
This role requires strong English language communication with other employees, both in written and verbal form. As there are security requirements for the entire site including office, manufacturing, and construction environments, this position will be required to perform the work in all these environments.
Responsibilities:
Implement the physical and administrative aspects of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
Manage all physical security systems including access control system, CCTV, metal detectors, X-Ray equipment, and intrusion systems
Manage the ID badging and access control program for employees, partners, contractors, and visitors
Manage the access control system at an administrator level, including programming components, system settings, maintenance, and backup
Audit abnormal access to the site and restricted areas; prepare related detailed reports
Manage the carry-in/carry-out of property
Create regular publications that promote security awareness and security culture
Manage the on-site contract security company
Maintain and update security policies, guidelines, and procedures
Vehicle gate access management
Perform investigations of security violations or incidents.
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or equivalent work experience
4+ years of experience in physical security management
1+ year experience managing contract security guards
2+ years of managing a Badge ID and access control program
Detailed knowledge of access control system operation technical concepts
Security survey, audit and vulnerability assessment experience
Ability to write policies, guidelines and procedures at a professional level
Excellent investigative and report writing skills
Basic operating knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice-to-haves:
APP, PSP or CPP (ASIS International) Certification
Experience in presenting training materials
Experience in teaching, training, and evaluating security SOP compliance
Working Environment:
This position will perform most duties in a climate-controlled office environment. Incident response and other duties will require work within temperature and humidity-controlled manufacturing buildings, indoor and outdoor construction zones, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
